Paonia Library and Delta Library
These libraries seek friendly, outgoing, customer-oriented
individual to work 20 hours per week.
Hours include evenings and Saturdays.
Must have above average computer skills and be willing to
assist with program delivery and outreach activities.
Library experience preferred.
Spanish language skills required for the Delta position.

Other Educational Credentials:
Masters Degree in a program of Library and Information Studies
strongly preferred. Equivalent combination of education and
experience will be considered. Those with library and supervisory
experience, who are completing an MLS degree, are welcome
to apply.

Job Description/Duties:
1. Oversees day-to-day operations of the library and manages
expenditures of assigned operating budget.
2. Develops the short and long term plans of service for the
branch with assistance of the District Director and in cooperation
with District Management team.
3. Hires, trains and supervises staff and volunteers
4. Assists patrons in person and by phone, and works at the
library service desk. Provides reader’s advisory, reference
and research assistance, and referral information.
5. Develops collection plan for the branch and collaborates
with District selection team to build and maintain branch
and District collections.
6. Assists with budget preparation, strategic planning, and
goal setting for the branch.
7. Actively promotes the library through programming and outreach
in the community. Takes an active role in the community by
representing the library at local events, and with membership
in organizations and associations.
8. Promotes a culture of excellent customer service.
9. Works actively with the branch’s Friends of the Library
and local Library Foundation.
10. Demonstrates leadership in technology and trains staff
in use of electronic resources and new technology.
11. Actively works with District Director and local Foundation
to plan for future building project.

Community:
Located on Colorado's beautiful Western Slope of the Rockies,
the Cedaredge Public Library serves the Town of Cedaredge
and surrounding area in cooperation with four other libraries
in the Delta County Public Library District. The current library
building was built in 1997. Library use and population of
the area has been growing ever since and the Cedaredge Library
Foundation is in the process of acquiring property for a new
larger facility.
The Town of Cedaredge, population of 1,854, is one of the
